Offers new definitions of contemporary art in America by highlighting the work of several contemporary artists across the United States. Program two explores the themes of identity and consumption. The film presents personal profiles that go behind the scenes into the artists' studios, homes, and communities to provide an intimate view of their lives, work, sources of inspiration and creative processes. The artists are painters, designers, photographers, sculptors, performance and video artists, whose works demonstrate the breadth of artistic practice and reveal the depth of intergenerational and multicultural talent.
